Safeguarding at Sanctuary Church

At Sanctuary Church, we are committed to ensuring that everyone, especially children, young people, and vulnerable adults, feels safe and protected. Our safeguarding policy is in line with UK law, including The Children Act 1989 and The Care Act 2014, and we take every necessary step to create a safe environment.

Our Safeguarding Practices Include:

  • All staff and volunteers working with children and vulnerable adults are fully vetted and required to undergo DBS checks.
  • We follow strict safeguarding procedures to ensure any concerns are reported and handled confidentially.
  • Our team regularly receives safeguarding training to stay up-to-date on best practices.

If You Have a Concern:
If you have any concerns about the safety of someone in our church, please contact our Safeguarding Officer Abi Bryant, either by having a chat with her in church or by emailing her.

We believe safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and is a way of expressing our love for one another, by doing everything we can to create a safe environment.

The full safeguarding policy is available to regular attenders upon request.
